Johnston Of Elgin has teamed up with recruitment software company, Recruitive Ltd, to produce a brand new careers website and full applicant tracking system. This shift aims to streamline their hiring process and give candidates a user-friendly platform to secure the perfect job opportunity.
The high-end manufacturer of cashmere, wool and other natural fibres has created beautiful products for some of the world’s best-known designers as well as their own collections. With over 25% of their workforce in Leadership Development Programmes and over 10% in their Modern Apprenticeship programme they are committed to the long term in developing their people with skills while embracing technology and new processes simultaneously.
This commitment led to the company approaching Recruitive as part of a tender for a full ATS system and careers website, due to their current in-house development team unfortunately not being able to develop a careers website themselves.
Recruitive presented Johnston Of Elgin with an idea for a careers website that matched their hiring needs as well as an ATS system that could keep up with their job vacancy demand.
The completed careers website is fully managed within the admin area of their ATS system including all content pages and all visual areas. The jobs section is also managed by the ATS and all applications are filtered through the same system, where they can arrange shortlists, interviews and onboard the candidates as employees.
Sales and Marketing Manager, Steven Day, said “The old careers website used by Johnstons Of Elgin did not allow them to receive applications. Any candidate had to download a Microsoft Word Document and make the application away from the website. This resulted in a large candidate drop-off. They had a similar scenario to the one we discovered when we originally assisted Harvey Nichols several years ago. We understood the need for an attractive careers page, followed by a simple application process. The current website matches the branding and style of Johnstons of Elgin and promotes the values of the company. This careers website is managed via their ATS.”
